Finding unexpected solutions

My name is Maren Drewes. I founded F.EKS. in 2024 as the Norway-based branch of our Berlin-based company BSPW co-founded in 2018.

Today’s challenges require new ways of perceiving, thinking and acting. They will be wild, unfamiliar and possibly beautiful. I want to contribute to practicing more vibrant and regenerative ways of interacting with ourselves, each other and our environment. Locally and internationally. At the workplace but also as a society and in smaller units like communities and families. 

BSPW and F.EKS. mean “for example” in German and Norwegian. It stands for my key principle to never know better but empower the people I work with to find their own solutions as experts of their context. I practice showing up in my facilitator mindset wherever and whenever I can, because I believe that often the way how we do things matters more than what we do. Of course I often fail and most times I learn.

Over the last ten years in Berlin, I’ve done leadership and organizational development with over fifty organizations, including public and private sector, non-profit and for. I’m a certified INQA Coach by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (Initiative Neue Qualität der Arbeit), as well as a process facilitator in several other funding programs, e.g. the German Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Robert Bosch Stiftung (CIVIC SCOUTS AT WORK). I hold a Master’s degree in philosophy and art history from Humboldt University, and teach critical thinking at the University of Passau.
